History

A Hoosier cabinet is the common name given to a stand alone cabinet made in the early 1900's. However, several businesses besides the Hoosier Cabinet Company made similar cabinets. Sellers, Wilson, and McDougall are other common names found on original cabinets. These cabinets were the baking center of the day. Flour, sugar, and cooking supplies were all kept in this one cabinet.
